Perfect Valentine’s Day Bible Verses

While for some, Valentine’s Day is a day of celebrating love, for others it can be a lonely day and reminder that we have no one around us. But Valentine’s Day Bible verses can remind us of God’s constant and unfailing love for us. 

We can share His love through these scriptures on social media, through text, on the phone, face-to-face, or in a unique Valentine’s Day card. The more love you share with others, the more loved and treasured you realize you truly are. 

John 15:13 

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

It would be great to reflect on the depth and magnitude of Christ’s love on Valentine’s Day. All the laws in the Bible have been summed up in one and that’s to love God and love people. When we love God, we can obey Him and do His will. When we love people, we pray for them and treat them with the care, compassion, and respect that we have for ourselves.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

We know God’s love because He showers us with it daily. The greatest evidence of His love is His Son Jesus Christ. We may not always feel God’s love, but by faith, we know and believe that we dwell in His love, and He lives in us. 

Romans 8:38-39

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Song of Solomon 7:10

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

God’s love is not temporary or conditional but is everlasting and unwavering.  This reassures us that no matter what we have done or experienced, the love of God remains constant and enduring.
