Our Statement of Faith
The Scriptures
We believe that the 66 books of the Bible in the originals are the inspired Word of God and are the final authority for all matters of faith and practice. The Authorized King James Version is accepted as the providentially preserved English version of the Word of God without error.
(Psalm 12:6-7, 2 Timothy 3:16, 1 Peter 1:23, 2 Peter 1:20-21)

The Godhead—Trinity
We believe that the eternal one true God exists in three distinct Persons—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They are co-equal in nature and attributes.
(Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, John 4:24, 10:30, Ephesians 2:18, 1 John 5:7)
God the Father
We believe in God the Father, Creator and Sustainer of all things, Who is all-knowing, all-powerful, ever-present, unchanging Sovereign Lord over all, perfectly holy and perfectly just. Supreme in love, grace, and mercy, He saves from hell all who come to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
(Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 32:4, Psalm 145:8, Isaiah 40:28, 43:10-13, 46:9-10, John 3:16, Revelation 4:8)

God the Son, Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten eternal Son of God. He took on human flesh through the virgin birth, lived a sinless life, and died on the cross taking the punishment for the sins of all mankind. We believe in His bodily resurrection and ascension to heaven and imminent return to earth to establish His earthly kingdom. He now sits on the right hand of God in Heaven and is our Advocate with the Father.
(Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 1:18-25, John 1:1, 1:14, 20:28-29, Acts 1:11, 1 Corinthians 15:3-7, Galatians 4:4, Colossians 2:9, 1 Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 1:3, 1:8, 4:15, 1 John 2:1)

God the Holy Spirit
We believe God the Holy Spirit was sent from God to glorify Christ, to bring conviction of sin and judgement, to indwell believers at the moment of salvation, to seal believers unto the day of redemption, to teach believers the Word of God, and to empower believers to live the Christian life.
(John 3:3-6, 14:16-17, 15:26, 16:8, 16:13, Romans 8:9, Ephesians 1:13-14, 4:30)
Man
We believe that man was created by God and in the image of God. However, because of Adam’s sin, all men are sinners by nature and by choice, and thereby separated from God. Man is “dead in trespasses and sins” and utterly incapable of returning to a right relationship with God by his own efforts.
(Genesis 3:6-24, Isaiah 53:6, Romans 3:10, 3:23, 5:12, Ephesians 2:1-3)
Satan
We believe that Satan is a fallen angel cast out of Heaven upon his rebellion against God. God has given him temporary power on earth to deceive the world. He was defeated at the cross and will be destroyed in the lake of fire forever after Christ’s Millennial Kingdom. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, believers can have victory over Satan’s attempts “to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.”
(Isaiah 14:12-17, Ezekiel 28:14-19, Matthew 25:41, John 8:44)
Salvation
We believe that salvation is the gift of God’s grace through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ shed for our sins on the cross. All men everywhere who upon the conviction of the Holy Spirit, repent, or turn to God and away from their sins, believing solely on Jesus’ atoning death and resurrection, are born again, receiving forgiveness of their sins and Christ’s righteousness. All true believers are eternally secure, kept by the power of God and will live with God forever in Heaven. All unbelievers will spend eternity in Hell in the lake of fire, forever separated from God.
(John 3:16, 10:27-29, Romans 6:23, 8:38-39, 10:9-13, Ephesians 2:8-9, Colossians 1:14, 1 Peter 3:18, 1 John 2:2, Revelation 20:14, 21:10-27)

The Christian Life
We believe that it is the responsibility of every believer to seek to grow and mature in the faith in order to glorify God through obedience to the Word of God and becoming more like Jesus. Every Christian is to serve the Lord by exercising his spiritual gifts and witnessing the gospel in order that people worldwide would have the opportunity to know Christ as their Saviour.
(Galatians 2:20, 2 Corinthians 5:14-20, Acts 1:8, Romans 12:1-2, 2 Peter 1:5-8)

The Church
The family of God consists of all true believers in Christ. As brothers and sisters in Christ we are called to love, forgive, encourage, serve, comfort, exhort, and bear the burdens of one another. We believe that local churches are made up of born again believers who have been scripturally baptized and joined together to glorify, worship, and serve God, to spread the gospel message to the lost, and to disciple the saved. We believe that each church has the freedom to govern itself under the headship of Christ.
(Acts 1:8, 2:41, 2:47, 15:22, 20:28, 1 Corinthians 12:12-27, Ephesians 1:20-23, 3:14-15, 1 Timothy 3)
Life, Marriage, and Sexuality
All life is created by God and begins at conception. Every human being has a spirit and soul that will live on eternally. Life is a gift from God. All people were created in God’s own image to glorify Him, no matter the circumstances surrounding their conception, their gender, or any mental or physical prognosis or condition. Each life must be cherished, cared for, and protected from conception until natural death. This includes caring, without partiality, for the pre-born, the aged, the handicapped, the poor, the homeless, the orphan, and the widow. The taking of an innocent human life for any reason is a moral evil.
God is the creator of marriage and sexuality. God’s Word defines marriage to be one man with one woman (as their physical genders were determined at birth) for one lifetime. Any sexual acts outside the bonds of biblical marriage is sin. This includes the inordinate affections of homosexuality, lesbianism, bestiality, polygamy, pedophilia, fornication, and adultery.
(Genesis 1-3, Psalm 139, Matthew 5:31-32; Matthew 19:4-6; Mark 10:2-12; Romans 1:18-32, 2 Peter 2)
