Bible Verses for Soul Winning

There are so many Bible verses for soul winning that can be used to explain each part of the gospel. But you only need 1 or 2 for each point. You want to be thorough when sharing the gospel, but not give so much the person can’t take it all in.

Here are some really good Bible verses for evangelism that you can choose from.

Romans Road Bible Verses

The Romans Road gets its name from the fact that all of the verses used are found in the Book of Romans.

  • Romans 3:10 – As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
  • Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
  • Romans 5:12 – Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
  • Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
  • Romans 5:6 – For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
  • Romans 5:8 – But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
  • Romans 10:9-10 – That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
  • Romans 10:13 – For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Bible Verses to Explain Sin

A person must first understand their sinfulness before they can be saved. Here are some verses that are good for explaining our desperate need for Jesus and His forgiveness.

  • Romans 5:12 above
  • Romans 3:23 above

  • Matthew 22:37-38 – Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.
  • Isaiah 64:6 – But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

When sharing the gospel, it is imperative that we warn the lost about the punishment those who die still in their sins will suffer…for all of eternity. It’s tempting to gloss over this part, but remember, it’s better for them to be told now…before it is forever too late.

A lost person must come to realize what they desperately need saving from…hell. Any of these Bible verses for soul winning would work to convey this sobering truth.

  • Romans 5:12 above
  • Romans 6:23 above

These Bible verses for soul winning show that repentance is necessary for salvation. The repentance needed is a deliberate choice to turn from believing that I can do anything to save myself. And a turning to Jesus and what He did for me on the cross, as my only hope of salvation.
