Death/Hell/Judgement
When sharing the gospel, it is imperative that we warn the lost about the punishment those who die still in their sins will suffer…for all of eternity. It’s tempting to gloss over this part, but remember, it’s better for them to be told now…before it is forever too late.

Good Works/Baptism/Church Membership Cannot Save
When sharing the way to Heaven, we must be sure to emphasize that salvation is only through Jesus. Jesus and His sacrifice alone is what saves.
It is NOT Jesus PLUS anything else we might think we have to do in addition to faith in Jesus! Good works, however good we may think they are, will NEVER save anyone!
- John 14:6 – Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
- Isaiah 64:6 – But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
- Ephesians 2:8-9 – For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Jesus and His sacrifice alone is what saves.

Repentance and Faith
These Bible verses for soul winning show that repentance is necessary for salvation. The repentance needed is a deliberate choice to turn from believing that I can do anything to save myself. And a turning to Jesus and what He did for me on the cross, as my only hope of salvation.
Repentance and faith is an understanding that I deserve hell for my sins, but that Jesus already satisfied God’s wrath against my sin…for me!
- Mark 1:15 – And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
- Ephesians 2:10 above
- Romans 10:9-10 above
- Romans 10:13 above
